Summer Classes 2025
A course providing a deep dive into the novel by Bram Stoker, Dracula. Students will learn about the many misconceptions regarding the novel and the Count, himself, as well as the literary vampire in general. We will try to understand the novel’s influence in film culture. A unique feature of the course will be our reading together of Stoker’s own notes and narrative plans. This course carries the Continuing Communication designation. Students will be writing, speaking, and creating multi-modal projects.
September Series: Spiritual Writing Workshop
A workshop designed for members of a local community group. For four weeks, we will explore together genres of spiritual writing including prayer, spiritual place, spiritual journaling, and writing the life of a saint. In this course and short readings and writings, we will observe that spiritual culture is not univocal and rejoice in its diversity of expression.
